During the investigation, officials determined no charges would be filed in the case.

At the scene, officers spoke with Daniel Fontaine and Amanda Wolfe. Police said a “foul odor could be smelled” emanating from the couple and their home.

Officers searched the apartment and located the couple's four children — a 3-year-old boy, 2-year-old girl, 1-year-old boy, and a newborn girl. All were suffering from diaper rashes, sores and possible bug bites, officials said.
