A woman in Texas was reported missing by her mother in June and now police say they have found her body inside her boyfriend’s refrigerator, RadarOnline.com has reported.
On Nov. 12, police executed a search warrant at the home of Chad Stevens in McKinney and discovered the body of his girlfriend, Heather Schwab, wrapped in plastic in a refrigerator, as Front Page Detectives reported.
Schwab’s mother reported her daughter missing in June, even though she had not seen her daughter in a year due to disagreements over various issues, including Schwab’s alleged drug use, WFAA reported.
Her mother told police the relationship between Stevens and Schwab was full of abuse and her daughter told her on multiple occasions that she feared Stevens would kill her, the affidavit said.
Investigators interviewed Stevens after the missing persons report was filed in June and he told police that Schwab left him a year prior and he had not seen or heard from her since then, according to the affidavit. He said he did not know where she was.
On Nov. 2, Steven’s ex-wife and daughter allegedly called Stevens to let him know that he was going to be a grandfather, according to the affidavit. This led to an argument and Stevens allegedly threatened to kill his daughter and her baby.

His daughter told police she told her father not to make threatening statements because “people will believe him” and mentioned that his girlfriend had gone missing.
According to the affidavit, once Schwab was mentioned, Stevens responded with, “Oh, so you think I killed her?”
Stevens then reportedly started asking his daughter “how she knew about his backyard and a bunch of other random things” that she never even brought up in the conversation, the affidavit said. He then said “even if he had done something to Heather, he would only get five years in prison for hiding the body and he knew that because he had researched it.”
On Nov. 3, Schwab’s mother contacted police again, stating she talked with Steven’s ex-wife, who reportedly said Stevens killed her missing daughter and buried her in his backyard, the affidavit said.
On Nov. 12, the search warrant was executed and found Schwab’s body, along with multiple cell phones, a laptop, iPod, miscellaneous plastic wrap, trash bag, tape and other items, the affidavit said.
After Schwab’s body was found, Stevens allegedly told police he concealed her body after she died in July, KDFW reported.

Stevens gave authorities multiple stories about what happened to Schwab before claiming she died days after she fell in the shower and hit her head, according to KDFW. However, his neighbors told the news outlet that he told them she died of cancer.
Stevens was arrested at the scene and has been charged with assault causing bodily injury and tampering with evidence, officials said. Additional charges are forthcoming depending on the medical examiner’s determination.
Police said the investigation is ongoing and is still in the very early stages.
According to authorities, Stevens has been arrested 24 times in Collin County, including theft, DWI and assault.
