Mariah Carey's Brother Fires Shots At 'Vindictive' Singer, Calls Her An 'Excessive' Drinker In Explosive Court Documents
The family feud rages on! Mariah Carey's brother is calling out the Grammy winner for her “vindictive nature" and “glamorizing her excessive drinking” and in shocking court documents.
Morgan Carey, 61, filed an explosive response in his defamation lawsuit against Mariah -- filed in March -- claiming the Butterfly singer portrayed him as violent in her memoir The Meaning of Mariah Carey.
Mariah hit back in May but seemed to deflect her brother's concerns. Instead, the pop star claimed it was her intention to help troubled youth with her stories.
Morgan didn't buy it.
“It is particularly ironic to hear Mariah assert that her intention was not to defame me, but rather to inspire troubled youth,” he responded in an affidavit filed in Manhattan on Tuesday.
“This is coming from someone whose public behavior includes glamorizing her excessive drinking and coining the now popular term ‘splash,' as well as other behaviors which would be in poor taste to mention here.”
Morgan scoffed at his sister's claims about helping the youth, stating Mariah could have written about his numerous health struggles if she really wanted to inspire readers.
“This detail is conspicuously absent, which makes it clear that ‘inspiration’ was not on the agenda,” he claims in his affidavit.

“Mariah’s agenda merely focused on book sales and her image, all at my expense with no regard to the truth or my well-being," he continues.
Morgan didn't just slam the Always Be My Baby singer. He also went after Mariah's book publishers, pointing out her endless list of famous feuds.
He claims the publishers “would hardly be unaware of her contentious and vindictive nature as she has attacked many entertainment industry icons like Jennifer Lopez, Eminem, Madonna, and Christina Aguilera,” Morgan states in the affidavit.
Mariah's brother wants his day in court, alleging “actual evidence, timelines …, witnesses and history will bear out my testimony.”
Morgan ends his shocking rant by claiming his sister has damaged his image to the point of no return.
“The public humiliation of Mariah’s baseless and false attacks will forever color my professional and personal interactions and will forever be a bell which can not be unrung,” he says.
Morgan isn't the only sibling who has sued Mariah. Alison Carey also filed a lawsuit against the singer, claiming she was publicly humiliated over Mariah's tell-all.
