Marc Anthony is quite literally laughing in Alex Rodriguez's face over claims the ex-athlete believes Jennifer Lopez might still carry a torch for him.
Over the weekend, an insider told OK! that the 46-year-old retired MLB player and 52-year-old international superstar were still working to untangle their joint business holdings, "which gives him a chance to reminisce with her."
"They're mainly going through their respective lawyers, but they've had some one-on-one talks, and Alex always makes a point to compliment Jen," added the source, who insisted said chumminess was not reciprocated.
"Jen is civil to Alex, but she'd prefer to stick to business and sort out the financial stuff as soon as possible," they dished. "She doesn't want to be enemies, but she's not looking for a deep friendship, either."
According to the insider, A-Rod isn't giving up hope and even "believes Jen might start to miss what they had together."
As for J.Lo, she's "ready to put him in her rearview mirror." And evidently, her ex-husband knows this.
Marc, who shares 13-year-old twins Max and Emme with the Jen, dropped five laugh-cry emojis on Instagram in response to the wishful thinking.
Lopez pulled the plug on her relationship and engagement with Rodriguez in April of last year after four years together. Things between the two had been rocky for months after the ex-baseball player found himself involved in a public cheating scandal with Southern Charm star Madison LeCroy.
Shortly after, Jennifer rekindled her 20-year-old romance with Ben, and Bennifer 2.0 was born.
The Hustlers star could not be more in love with the 49-year-old Good Will Hunting actor, who is reportedly getting ready to pop the question – again.
Most recently, the two partied it up at Super Bowl LVI at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, to watch the Los Angeles Rams defeat the Cincinnati Bengals.
Cameras rolled as J.Lo danced up a storm while mouthing the words of all the hip-hop hits performed during the halftime show. As usual, Ben was close by but nowhere near as animated.
What's interesting is that Alex was at the big game, too, but something tells us he didn't have nearly the time that his ex did.
