A caretaker in Maine has been arrested after she allegedly stabbed her 93-year-old grandmother and her romantic partner to death, RadarOnline.com has learned.
According to the Maine State Police, deputies conducted a welfare check at a home in Denmark around 2 p.m. on Nov. 25, and found two deceased individuals inside, as Front Page Detectives reported.

Police were called to a home in Denmark, Maine, to conduct a welfare check.
Deputies determined the victim’s caretaker, 53-year-old Tzara Jones, as the primary suspect and she was transported to a hospital for evaluation, officials said.
The deceased individuals were identified as Jones’ grandmother, Aremean Mayo, and Jones’ romantic partner, 69-year-old Michael Willett, according to court documents obtained by WMTW-TV.

Buchanan was transported to the hospital, where she would die from her injuries.
When police arrived at the house, Jones reportedly said Willett was hunting, but officers later determined Willett used a wheelchair and was unable to hunt, court documents stated.
Jones reportedly refused to let police search the home and told an officer he was a “mongrel” and he needed to “get down on his knees and pray,” according to court documents.

At the home, police said they found the victim tied to a tree.
While searching the home, police found Willett deceased on a bed and Mayo’s body was discovered in the home’s entryway, authorities said. Autopsies were completed on both bodies and the deaths were ruled homicides.
Officials said Mayo reportedly sustained at least 10 stab wounds, which reportedly occurred before and after her death. She had been dead for over 24 hours before police found her body.

During the search, police recovered a blood-covered knife next to one of the victim's bodies, officials said.
Willett was reportedly stabbed three times and he had also been dead for more than 24 hours, according to court documents.
Police were able to recover a blood-covered knife at the scene near Mayo’s body.

Family members told police that Jones and Willett had allegedly been living together for years before Mayo moved in with them in July, WMTW reported. The family member said Jones was allegedly tired of caring for the victims, but she wouldn’t let the family member help.
Jones was arrested and booked into the Oxford County Jail, officials said. She was charged with two counts of murder.
