'I F--ked Up': Disgraced Mayor, 43, Texted Family Members After Her Own Kids Caught Her Allegedly 'Raping' Teen Boy at Boozy Pool Bash
A former Louisiana mayor sent frantic texts to friends and family after allegedly having s-- with a minor.

A panicked small-town Louisiana mayor sent a slew of text messages to her family after she was caught by her teenage son having s-- with one of his underage friends at a boozy pool party, RadarOnline.com can report.
Misty Roberts, the former mayor of DeRidder, Louisiana, then sent text messages to her young victim's mother assuring her she wasn't pregnant – despite ordering the morning-after pill to be delivered to her home via DoorDash.
Roberts Texted Her Ex-Husband in a Panic
Misty Roberts is now accused of 'raping' her son's teenage friend at a birthday party.
Roberts is currently on trial for two charges of carnal knowledge of a juvenile and indecent behavior with a juvenile for her alleged hookup. Authorities claim the acts took place at her home in 2024, as her minor son celebrated his birthday with friends, swimming and drinking alcohol that his mother allegedly provided.
Frantic text messages introduced in court revealed the 43-year-old's sobering reaction after her son allegedly caught her with his then 16-year-old pal.
"I need to talk to you," Roberts texted her ex-husband Duncan Clanton, according to the court papers. "I just need to tell you in person."
"I f---ed up. And I respect you enough to tell you. And I need to," a text read.
Emotional Texts with the Boy's Mother
Roberts reportedly ordered the Plan B morning-after pill after the tryst.
In another series of text messages, Roberts also apparently confessed to the teen vicitm's mother, who was worried about the consequences of the mayor's actions.
"Out of respect for both our families, can you assure me that you can’t be pregnant?" the 16-year-old boy’s mother asked Roberts.
She replied: "Yes."
The mother then pressed her about whether she used protection with her son.
"Are you on birth control, have you had tubal, hysterectomy??" she asked. Roberts replied that she was on birth control, but that the alleged interaction "didn't reach that point in those few minutes."
"I understand the concern," Roberts added. "But, I can assure you of that."
Robert's Personal Plan B
Roberts was the mayor of DeRidder, Louisiana, at the time.
Roberts reportedly had one more failsafe to ensure she wouldn't be pregnant. At her ongoing trial, a DoorDash driver testified that he delivered Plan B emergency contraceptive for a customer named "Misty" who lives at the address of the former mayor.
The driver said he recognized the house because he and his wife had previously taken their children trick-or-treating in that neighborhood.
According to the criminal complaint, on the day of the party, Roberts "pressed her b-- up against (her alleged victim) while taking a photograph of him.''
She also reportedly made statements about being attracted to the boy, and "put her hand on the bare torso area of (the boy) while making said comments to him."

Roberts resigned shortly after her arrest.
The report indicates she began kissing the teen in the backyard/pool area, before telling him, "We can't do this here," and followed him to the "bonus room" of her home.
Once inside the locked room, the two allegedly started kissing on a couch.
"She exposed her b-----s while kissing (the boy) in the locked bonus room," the court papers continued. "She asked (him) why he chose her to have s--ual intercourse with."
Eventually, Roberts' son told investigators he walked in on them.
"They were — just, like — they were having s--," the son said, adding that his mother was drunk and did not remember the incident.
