Kim Cattrall Escapes New York City, Actress 'Laying Low' In Canada While Archenemy Sarah Jessica Parker Films 'Sex And The City' Revival
Kim Cattrall won't be running into Sarah Jessica Parker or any of the gang while they film Sex and the City's revival.
RadarOnline.com has learned the 64-year-old actress -- known for playing sex kitten PR boss Samantha Jones -- left New York City as production for And Just Like That… began.
Sources tell RadarOnline.com, with SJP, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis roaming around the Big Apple, Cattrall has not only left town, but she has left the country!
“Kim is in Canada,” our insiders say. “There is no way she wants to be in New York while Sarah Jessica and the ladies are filming."
But this doesn't mean the blonde bombshell is done with NYC for good.
"Let the girls play dress-up and run around the city for a few months, and then Kim will be back when the coast is clear," they add.
Our insiders make it clear -- Cattrall isn’t hiding but rather laying low while the ladies are on location for the revival.
“Kim has lived in Canada for some time now. After 22 years she is even selling her home in the Hamptons,” adds a pal.
"Kim will always love New York. And don’t think for one second that Kim has been run out of the city she loves," RadarOnline.com is told. "It is just she has moved on with her life."
Not only has she moved forward in her personal life. Cattrall also decided to leave her Sex and the City persona in the past.

"There is something sad about people that get stuck and cannot let go. The show was a major party of Kim’s life and she will always be grateful but at the same time she knows when it’s time to leave the party," a source reveals.
The actress has held firm on not reprising her role as Jones.
"I went past the finish line playing Samantha Jones because I loved Sex and the City. It was a blessing in so many ways but after the second movie I’d had enough," she told The Guardian in 2019. "I couldn’t understand why they wouldn’t just replace me with another actress instead of wasting time bullying. No means no."
Cattrall also revealed she was never friends with her Sex and the City co-stars.
"We’ve been colleagues and in some way, it’s a very healthy place to be," she told Piers Morgan in 2017.
Her feud with SJP came to a head after Cattrall's brother died.
Cattrall unleashed on her ex-costar, making it clear that SJP was "not my family" and "not my friend."
“My Mom asked me today ‘When will that @sarahjessicaparker, that hypocrite, leave you alone?’ Your continuous reaching out is a painful reminder of how cruel you really were then and now. Let me make this VERY clear. (If I haven’t already)," Cattrall wrote in a scathing Instagram post.
"You are not my family. You are not my friend. So I’m writing to tell you one last time to stop exploiting our tragedy in order to restore your ‘nice girl’ persona," she added.
