Kelly Clarkson took Miss Independent to a whole new level.
Instead of spending July 4th weekend with friends, the 39-year-old singer took care of business and moved into her new $5.4 million home in Los Angeles without her soon-to-be ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock.
Clarkson looked sweaty and a tad miserable while moving things like furniture on Monday.
Wearing forest green sweats, a long-sleeved gray top, and sneakers, the talk show host -- who is reportedly taking over duties for Ellen DeGeneres -- attempted to go incognito by slipping on a pair of sunglasses.
Clarkson went makeup-free for moving day and sported a messy bun on the top of her head.
Despite the laid-back look, the single star couldn't fool nearby paparazzi who caught her unloading several boxes from a Ford pickup truck.
Last month, Clarkson reportedly scooped up her very own bachelorette pad in the ritzy L.A. neighborhood of Toluca Lake.
She is currently trying to sell off her two properties amid a nasty divorce from her estranged husband.
The American Idol alum didn't have to work up a sweat all by herself for long.
After spending some time moving solo, her older sister Alyssa and another friend joined Clarkson on an errand run.
The trio hit up a nearby UPS store before heading to a storage facility.
Clarkson's new home has tons of space for the superstar and her two children.
Boasting at 5,000 square feet, her home comes with five bedrooms, seven bathrooms. It also features a swimming pool, spa, and basketball and tennis courts.
While Clarkson is moving on in her personal life, things are getting nasty in her divorce.
As RadarOnline.com reported, the country singer is pleading with a judge to declare her legally single while she continues to hammer out issues with her estranged husband.
Clarkson and Blackstock are currently in a bitter feud over their prenuptial agreement.
According to one report, Blackstock is challenging the validity of the agreement and believes he is owed a bigger chunk of the singer's estate.
Clarkson has accused her ex of defrauding her out of millions while he acted as her personal manager during their marriage.
She also alleges he didn't have the proper license to be managing her. Clarkson wants all money she paid Blackstock during the 13 years he served as her manager returned.
