Josh Duggar Accused Of Being On Sex Offender Registry For Molesting His Sisters Years Before Being Arrested For Child Pornography

Josh Duggar was allegedly placed on the sex offender registry list for molesting his sisters years before his most recent child pornography arrest back in April, The Sun reported based on court papers .
The 33-year-old Duggar was arrested most recently back in April and charged with both possessing and receiving child pornography. According to the new report, it is possible Josh was in trouble years before this most recent incident.
According to the outlet, Josh’s April arrest came years after In Touch Weekly uncovered a 33-page Arkansas police report from 2015, which claimed Jim Bob Duggar admitted to local authorities that Josh molested the breasts and genitalia of his younger sisters in 2006 while they were asleep in the Duggar family home.
The two younger sisters in question – Jill Duggar and Jessa Duggar – have since come forward in an interview with Megyn Kelly confessing to being two of their older brother’s victims. They also reportedly insisted in this interview that they had since forgiven Josh for his alleged crimes against them when they were younger.
Then, in May of 2017, the Duggars Jill, Jessa, Jinger and Joy-Anna all sued the City of Springdale and the other defendants for an alleged invasion of privacy. The four sisters claimed that releasing such private records to the public caused them "extreme mental anguish and emotional distress."
The Sun recently broke the news that the Springdale defendants reportedly served the Department of Human Services a subpoena back on August 2, 2021.
"Joshua Duggar was placed on the sex offender registry and a legal proceeding was undertaken to remove Joshua Duggar from the sex offender registry,” the court documents claim, reportedly without providing any evidence. “The Defendants have a substantial and compelling need for the documentation in the possession of DHS. The Defendants are entitled to this information and documentation due to one of the central elements of Plaintiffs claims being public disclosure of private information.”
“Additionally, correspondence between Joshua Duggar and/or his agents in the possession of DHS regarding his removal from the sex offender registry could provide information as to the public knowledge of Joshua Duggar’s acts of molestation and his victims,” the court document reportedly closes with.
At this point in time, it is still unclear whether Josh Duggar was in fact placed on the sex offender registry list as is being alleged. In the meantime, Josh is pleading not guilty to the two child pornography counts he was charged with back in April.
The trial has been confirmed for November 30th.
