Funnyman Jim Carrey's shocking new mug is so radically different, it has sparked wild conspiracy theories that the Mask star hired a body double to make appearances for him, RadarOnline.com can reveal.
While the 64-year-old Truman Show star insists the real him appeared at the Feb. 26 César Awards gala in Paris, onlookers were so baffled by his strange new face that sources said doubt lingers over whether he'd been replaced by a "clone!"
Inside The Wild Theories

Alexis Stone fueled speculation after claiming he impersonated Jim Carrey at the César Awards, where fans questioned the actor's altered appearance.
"This is NOT Jim Carrey!" one fan insisted. "Jim Carrey has dark brown eyes for one [while] this copycat/clone creature has light eyes."
Conspiracy theorists also seized upon Carrey's use of his right hand to sign autographs at the event despite the longstanding belief he's left-handed.
Doubts soared after celebrity makeup artist Alexis Stone claimed he had impersonated Carrey at the Césars!
Others suspect the Liar Liar actor – known for disappearing into characters like his transformation into Andy Kaufman in 1999's Man on the Moon – had altered his appearance for an upcoming movie.
Still others thought it was a gag.
Carrey Sparks Impersonator Speculation

Carrey appeared with Min Ah at the César Awards, as sources said the pair went public with their relationship.
"He might have sent an impersonator to gaslight the audience," said a source. "He has a history of doing that sort of thing – although his family was there too."
Sources said Carrey used the event to go red-carpet official with L.A.-based artist Min Ah – his galpal since 2022 who he calls his "sublime companion."
Insiders also speculated Carrey's odd look could be part of an elaborate comeback attempt for the faded star who once ruled Tinseltown but has had few roles since the 2015 suicide of ex-girlfriend Cathriona White, who broke up with him only a week before she OD'd.

Dr. Charles Runels suggested Carrey may have undergone cosmetic procedures, citing changes in his brows and facial volume.
"Jim was reeling for a long time after that," said a source. "But it looks like he's finally turning the page, and his new look could be proof of that."
One plastic surgeon disputed the idea Carrey sent a look-alike to the Césars, telling RadarOnline.com the Me, Myself & Irene actor has apparently had a lot of work done.
"His brows are higher, which most likely indicates an upper facelift or endoscopic brow lift," said Dr. Charles Runels, CEO of VampireFacelift.com. "He also has increased volume in the temples, which usually goes along with overuse of fillers."
Experts Suspect Fillers, Eye Surgery

Cathriona White's 2015 death was cited by sources as a turning point in Carrey's life amid talk of his recent transformation.
Also, Carrey's "cheeks are fuller," Runels added, "which would go along with acid fillers."
"And his upper lids are no longer partially covering his sclera, indicating he probably had... upper and lower eye surgery."
Whatever work he may have had done, insiders claim it's way too much and are begging him to stop before it's too late.
