'Teen Mom' Star Jenelle Evans' Husband Charged With Child Abuse, Video Shows an Alleged Assault Involving 14-Year-Old Son
Jenelle Evans' husband, David Easton, has been charged with child abuse related to a case involving his teenage stepson, RadarOnline.com has learned. The Teen Mom star's other half was hit with a misdemeanor after Jace's third runaway attempt.
As of this post, the details surrounding the charge are unclear, but while Easton has been the only one charged thus far, the 14-year-old's famous mom isn't out of the doghouse.
Evans could eventually face charges over the investigation, law enforcement sources told TMZ, revealing the police and child protective services have an alleged video of an assault involving Jace.
The teen is Evans' first child and Easton's stepson.
Jace has multiple times since August, promoting police activity at least twice. Evans only obtained custody of the teenager this year as her mother, Barbara, has looked after him since a young age.
Last month, he snuck out of his window and left his cell phone behind.
Cops were called to Evans' home at around 8 PM on September 28 and declared Jace a missing person. Thankfully, he wound up okay — but the latest incident sparked a child neglect investigation into the reality show couple after law enforcement noticed Jace's habit.
Evans addressed his first runaway attempt after he was found.

"As a boy mom, kids can act up and rebel as I'm sure the majority of us all once did as kids too. Jace, got in trouble at school, we decided to take his phone away and that's when he decided to run off, Jace is a good kid and we're not dealing with anything that most families don't deal with while raising children, this has absolutely nothing to do with my situation with David, we do not argue in front of our children or fight in front of our kids. This is a teenage boy being a teenager mad that we decided to take his phone away," she said in August.

This isn't the first time Easton has been in trouble with police. The aspiring rapper faced criticism after he shot and killed the family dog after the pet allegedly bit their daughter in the face. The incident happened in 2019. Easton was not charged over it — but an investigation was launched over the matter.
