JD Vance Branded 'Disgusting' for Body-Shaming Conservative Commentator in Move Out of 'Trump's Playbook'

JD Vance has been branded "disgusting" after he ignored the affordability crisis and instead targeted Marc Thiessen's weight, RadarOnline.com can reveal.
Interjecting himself into a conversation about the cost of burritos, Vance, 42, suggested it was surprising to hear Thiessen had ever chosen not to eat one when presented with the opportunity.

Vance made fun of conservative commentator Marc Thiessen.
The conversation, critical of the economy under President Trump, invited right-wing commentators, including Matt Walsh, who suggested elected officials need to focus on rising costs. Particularly, he noticed grocery prices are high, and he argued politicians need to focus their efforts on domestic policy rather than foreign affairs.
Andrew Kolvet, a Turning Point USA spokesman, agreed, claiming college students were aware of the issue, too. He claimed, "Yeah, a lot of this is a hangover from Covid and Biden-era inflation, but the lived experience is the same: It just feels like basic things cost too much."
He further cited one student, who told him, "A burrito shouldn’t cost $20."
However, Thiessen wasn't giving out sympathy. "Cry me a river. The burritos in the college cafeteria are included in your meal plan," he responded.
Vance came out swinging then, offering a brutal diss: "I'm surprised to hear Mark say this. If you've ever met him in person, it's quite obvious the man has never missed a burrito."

Critics picked up on Trump's 'playbook.'
By dodging a conversation about policy and opting to pick at someone's personal attributes, people noticed Vance was following a similar strategy to his boss Trump. Critics called the "disgusting" move of humiliation one out of "Trump's playbook."
"The Vice President is making fat jokes. That's how far America has fallen," said one person.
Another added, "I don't think the vice president of the United States should behave this way."
A third said, "This isn't the way, JD. You just look like you're trying to be like Trump, and it comes off as foolish. Maybe get off the phone and try to actually do *something* about the cost of everyday items for those of us you left back in Ohio."

Vance became a new target for body shaming.
Vance's ridicule of Thiessen, who some people pointed out was actually on MAGA's side, only led to personal attacks against the vice president. The comments were filled with people calling Vance "fat" right back, including throwback photos from when he was young and some when he was in the military.
One user wrote, "Are you fat-shaming someone? Dude, it's ok to admit you've been a loser your whole f--king life and even the vice presidency hasn't helped you, but keep on projecting."
Another added, "What’s happened to you? I used to be excited about you becoming president after Trump and having your beautiful family in the White House. Now you and your team just constantly try to insult and alienate Republicans."
"Not sure you should be commenting on chubbiness," a third noted.

The economy is a top concern for voters.
Other people pleaded with the leader to focus on the affordability crisis, which is a top issue among American voters.
"Gross. That said, I'd rather see you enter the $20 burrito affordability chat than be anywhere near Iran strategy or actual policymaking. Cringe, but less dangerous," a commentator stated.
Another said, "I'm a fan of you and Trump, but the original post's point by Matt Walsh is correct… grocery prices are still high and kicking our a--es. Same for gas, taxes, insurance, homes, etc. If y'all don't do something legit, conservatives and independents are going to lose interest and not show up next election."
