An Indiana man has been arrested after his girlfriend was reportedly found dead with a gunshot wound to the head, RadarOnline.com has learned.
Around 1:30 a.m. on Nov. 4, officers were called to a home in Monroe County after a neighbor reported a man yelling outside, as Front Page Detectives reported.
At the scene, officers found 34-year-old Bryce Michael Leighton outside the home with blood on his hands and clothing. Police said he was reportedly yelling something about his “baby.”
Inside the garage, police located 48-year-old Tara Langley lying on the ground. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers said there was a blood around the victim’s head and a black AR-15-style rifle on the ground in the garage.
During questioning, police said Leighton was “hysterical and hard to understand," and when asked what had occurred, he said he was “having flashbacks” and started crying, saying, “My baby, oh God.”

Court documents state Leighton claimed Langley had gotten drunk and he was attempting to leave the home. According to police, he said they had been dating for the last seven years, but she had been more aggressive and became mean when she drank alcohol over the last couple months.
Leighton alleged he was packing some of his possessions when “she came at me" with a taser in her hand and she didn't stop after he warned her to not come near him, the court documents show.
Langley allegedly turned the stun gun on and when it first popped, Leighton told police that “everything just went into a blur” and he allegedly admitted the gun was in his hands during the altercation, authorities said.
During a search of the home, investigators found blood throughout the garage and smears of it on the doorframe. They also found the AR-15-style rifle on the ground and a blood stains from the floor up to the ceiling, officials said.
