A woman in Virginia wished her ex-boyfriend happy birthday and then drove with a man to his house, where the armed co-conspirators tried to break in before shooting at him, RadarOnline.com has learned.

Erann Ohse, 25, and Andrew Poindexter, 26, both pleaded guilty to second-degree attempted murder charges in connection with the incident in Louisa County last year, WVIR-TV reported.

An investigation revealed that Ohse and the man were in a brief relationship but they split last February, Front Page Detectives reported.

Shortly after, on March 29, 2022, Ohse texted her ex-boyfriend a happy birthday message and then concocted a plot with her co-defendant to kill him, according to Louisa Commonwealth’s Attorney Rusty McGuire.

According to the prosecutor, the pair drove from the Fredericksburg area to the man’s home, where they donned ski masks and had in their possession handguns with multiple magazines.

The pair unsuccessfully attempted to barge into the ex-boyfriend’s home before heading to the side of the residence where his bedroom was located, McGuire said.

“These two thought they were the modern-day Bonnie and Clyde, but now they’ll have to face the serious consequences people face when they commit violent crimes in Louisa County,” Louisa County Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney Alex Goodman said.

In addition to the second-degree attempted murder charge, Ohse pleaded guilty on Feb. 15 to malicious wounding, shooting into an occupied dwelling, attempted armed burglary, using a firearm in the commission of a felony, destruction of property, and eluding police.

She faces up to 63 years behind bars when she is scheduled on May 10.

On Feb. 1, Poindexter also pleaded guilty to the attempted murder charge as well as malicious wounding, attempted armed burglary, shooting in the commission of a felony, destruction of property, eluding law enforcement, and possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

He could receive a maximum sentence of 70 years at his sentencing on May 31.
