Doomsday cult mom Lori Vallow and her husband Chad Daybell have been charged with murder, just one year after her minor children's remains were found on their property.
A grand jury in Idaho returned a true bill on Tuesday indicting Vallow and Daybell on first-degree murder in connection with Vallow's two kids -- 17-year-old daughter Tylee Ryan, and 7-year-old son J.J. Vallow.
Daybell was also charged with the murder of his ex-wife,Tammy Daybell.
The couple were arrested and awaiting trial on charges of conspiracy to hide her daughter and son's remains.
Tylee and J.J. were last seen alive in September 2019.
Vallow and Daybell allegedly continued to collect Social Security assistance checks on behalf of the kids.
Their bodies were discovered last summer.
Daybell was a Doomsday author, alleged cult leader, and ex grave digger.
He wed Vallow just two months prior to the children going missing.
Vallow never revealed where Tylee and J.J. were but always said they were safe.
Daybell's ex-wife Tammy died in September 2019.
She reportedly passed away in her sleep at the same home she shared with Daybell.
She was only 49 years old.
He allegedly refused an autopsy, despite Tammy reportedly being in great heath.
He also allegedly increased her life insurance just one month prior to death.
Two weeks after Tammy's passing, Daybell married Vallow.
Her husband ironically died just a few months before.
Vallow's children were found buried on Daybell's property in Salem, Idaho.
Police had already launched an investigation into the death of Daybell's ex-wife and Vallow's husband after her children went missing.
Tammy's body was exhumed in December 2019 from its grave in Evergreen Cemetery in Springville, Utah.
Daybell had once worked at the same cemetery that Tammy was buried.
Vallow and Daybell were both charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree murder and grand theft by deception and first-degree murder.
Daybell has also been charged with first degree murder, conspiracy to commit first degree murder, grand theft, and insurance fraud in Tammy's death.
