Trump, 80, Debuts New Hairstyle in Las Vegas — Leaving Critics Asking If Prez Is 'Wearing a Wig'

President Donald Trump's hair appeared far more voluminous during a recent speaking engagement in Las Vegas.
Critics were quick to notice the 80-year-old's abrupt change in appearance, RadarOnline.com has learned, and the seemingly new 'do left them wondering what was going on.
Donald Trump's Hair Shocks Critics
Critics noticed when his hair appeared fuller.
In a post on X, someone shared a clip from the event, drawing attention to Trump's head. The immediate theory was that the president must be wearing a wig, as his hair could not have grown that thick overnight.
"He's wearing a man-wig. How very.... gender affirming of him," said one person, knocking at MAGA's opposition to transgender healthcare.
One person called his wig "a man's 'weave,'" explaining it would have been sewn into his existing hair to add volume.
Another person wrote, "No American president has ever projected insecurity like this before. The huge combover, the heavy makeup, the shoe lifts, & now a wig? Seriously? "He desperately tries to assuage his insecurity with all the Rambo AI images of him, but all that does is bring yet more attention to his insecurity & vanity. And that ironically makes him look so very weak."
His new hair came as a sudden surprise.
Trump's no stranger to buffing up his appearance. After all, he's set a standard of constantly sporting a bright orange spray tan. His attempts to look good often backfire with his critics, though.
"They're calling it the best taxpayer-funded coiffure there ever was," one person quipped.
His allegedly new hair was also referred to as a "ferret" on multiple occasions, with many wondering if a quality wig just wasn't in the budget.
Conspiracy theorists questioned if he was even real.
Other people wondered if the president was even himself at all, pointing to theories that Melania Trump had a body double.
"Maybe that's why it looks like an SNL skit to me. That doesn't look like 2026 Trump. It looks like an impersonator in a wig," one person wrote.

A long-running theory among critics is that Melania is only present part-time at public events. Critics believe she sometimes ducks out of the limelight by using a body double to fill in he role.
She often spends her time in the family's Florida home rather than the White House. Plus, a recording of her griping about the decoration duties that come with the gig circulated during her husband's first term.

His supporters cheered at his latest claim.
In the video, Trump claimed, "More Americans are working right now than at any point in the history of our country."
His declaration was met with a round of applause and cheers from the doting audience. However, the public at large isn't quite so convinced.
The economy is the main issue cited among naysayers. As Trump's approval rating continue to fall, hitting a record low of around 30 percent in July 2026, the affordability crisis took center stage.
Trump's claim about employment was shaky, too. The United States unemployment rate is sitting at around 4.2 percent as of June 2026, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. This is certainly not record-breaking as the lowest rate was 0.8 percent in October 1944.
