Lily James made headlines when she transformed into the Baywatch babe, looking identical to the star in the highly-anticipated show, Pam & Tommy, which will focus on Anderson's crazy life with her ex-husband, rocker Tommy Lee.
It will no doubt address the infamous sex tape of the ex-couple too, who filmed the intimate footage during their honeymoon in 1995.
While several fans are looking forward to the series, one of Pamela's friends is unimpressed with Lily James -- as well as Hulu -- over their decision to film a show based on something that "destroyed" Anderson's life.
Courtney Love took to social media over the weekend and trashed Lily's photos showing her as the blonde bombshell.
Sharing a newspaper clipping all showing Lily as Pamela, the Hole frontwoman laid into the 32-year-old Baby Driver actress.
"I find this so f---ing outrageous," Love wrote in a since-deleted post.
Courtney wasted no time and talked about the negative impact the sex tape had on her longtime pal's life.
She even recalled a moment where she went off on a group of men who were ogling the footage during one of her recording sessions.
"They were watching the sex tape with huge schadenfreude... guffaws," Love wrote. "It was disgusting. I banned anyone from discussing it."
The rocker added the sex tape "destroyed my friend Pamela's life."
Love -- who's known for not having a filter -- then laid into Lily, who stars opposite Sebastian Stan as Lee.
"Shame on Lily James, whoever the f--k she is," the singer wrote.
She called the production a "piece of s--t," and said, "My heart goes out to Pammy" over the show which she believes will "further causing her complex trauma."
As for Pamela Anderson, sources reveal she doesn't plan to watch the Hulu series.
"Pamela has no intention of watching this Godawful show, absolutely not. Never," an insider told The Sun.
Of course, the source couldn't wait to take a jab at Lily and Sebastian either.
"She’s never heard of the actors playing her or Tommy, and doesn’t care to know them. She and her family think the show is a cheap knockoff. The whole thing is a joke to them," they added.
