A woman in Colorado has been arrested after she allegedly abused a 2-year-old so badly that part of his skull had to be removed to stop bleeding on his brain, RadarOnline.com has learned.
On Sept. 1, Giovanni Reichert was life flighted to a children’s hospital after he was allegedly “harmed by the hands of a trusted caregiver” and had to undergo emergency surgery, as Front Page Detectives reported.
The boy’s mother, Stefanie Reichert, told KDVR that 25-year-old McKinley Slone Hernandez was watching the boy overnight in Lakewood the date of the incident.
“I received a text message from the suspect saying I needed to rush to St. Anthony’s Hospital because my son had gone lifeless after a bath,” Reichert said, according to the station. “Once I saw him and all the 50 doctors standing around him, I had to leave the room because it was the worst thing I’ve ever seen in my life.”
According to KDVR, the case file has been sealed, so there is little information available about the incident.
Reichert told KDVR that Hernandez “won’t admit to anything.”
