Cesar Millan was all smiles and in a "celebratory mood" days before he was hit with an explosive lawsuit that alleged his pit bull killed Queen Latifah's dog.
The famed "Dog Whisperer" appeared not to know what would happen in the days ahead, beaming during his birthday at one of the hottest restaurants in all of Los Angeles.
Cesar turned 52 years old on August 27, and RadarOnline.com has learned he had a late celebration on Wednesday at Yamashiro in the Hollywood Hills last week.
We're told the dog trainer-turned-television-star seemed in good spirits while taking in the breathtaking views and delicious food prepared by executive chef Vallerie and her team.
He chowed down on a sushi boat, charred spicy octopus, and their mouthwatering bone marrow.
Cesar sat outside to take in the beautiful Japanese garden outside of the Los Angeles landmark while dining with his former assistant.
We've learned not only did he indulge in the upscale food at the sushi restaurant, but he also scooped up some personalized dessert.
Bringing him several yummy desserts to satisfy his birthday sweet tooth, Cesar was spotted posing with Vallerie with a boatload (literally) of treats in front of him.
Flashing his award winning smile, Cesar kept his birthday look low-key in all black while letting his silver chain with a cross show.

His birthday appearance at the stable restaurant came just days before he was accused of attempting to cover up that his beloved pit bull Junior allegedly mauled Queen Latifah's dog to death.
As RadarOnline.com reported, a young gymnast named Lidia Matiss sued Cesar, claiming she, too, was allegedly attacked by his dog, and it ruined her chances at a promising career in the sport.
Here's the kicker — she also alleges Junior killed Queen Latifah's pooch and claims Cesar tried to hide it.
According to the legal documents, Matiss says the actress brought two of her dogs to his Dog Psychology Center in Santa Clarita, CA, but only left with one of them.
She alleges that Cesar's pit bull mauled Queen Latifah's pooch to death and allegedly tried to cover it up by instructing his staff to tell her it was hit by a car and killed.
Matiss — who's mom worked for the dog whisperer — is suing for unspecified damages.
As for Cesar, he says it's her fault. Responding to the lawsuit, he claims Matiss assumed the risk of being attacked because she knew the danger.
