Despite the rumors, Candace Owens' will not be joining the ladies of The View -- at least, not right now.
RadarOnline.com is told the conservative television host hasn't been contacted by ABC about replacing Meghan McCain when she leaves the popular talk show.
Owens' rep tells us, she has yet to receive "any correspondence about Candace being a replacement on The View."
That doesn't mean Candace wouldn't jump at the chance to sit at the table. We're told "she would be interested" if the network approached her with the opportunity.
The news comes on the heels of rumors that the network is scrambling to find a right-winged, Donald Trump-loving host to take over for McCain.
According to one show insider, Candace was one of three women suggested for the job.
A View source told Daily Mail, if ABC executives really had balls, they would hire controversial conservatives like Owens, Megyn Kelly, or the former president's son Donald Trump Jr.'s ex-girlfriend, Kimberly Guilfoyle.
"We need to hire a Trump Republican to reach more of the available audience at home," the insider said, adding after McCain leaves, they'll need a "massive shake-up" and someone who can give the liberal ladies at the table "a run for their money."
Joy Behar is reportedly upset about the rumblings of a conservative cast member and is having a change of heart about her on-air enemy McCain.
"Joy Behar is openly moaning about Meghan leaving as it's finally hit her that sometimes it is better the devil you know," the source revealed.
"Joy has only just realized that they could be getting someone much further right on the political spectrum than Meghan who won't put up with her crap," they added.
McCain announced her exit from the long-standing show earlier this month. According to reports, fellow co-host Whoopi Goldberg made it clear that she wanted Meghan gone.
There were also rumors that OG co-host Debbie Matenopoulos might step in.
At the time, sources confirmed to RadarOnline.com she had been talking to The View executives.
"Her rep has in fact been having conversations with senior executives at ABC News over the past few months about many things, including her participation in celebrating the 25th season of The View, and she appreciates all the interest in her returning," an insider told us. "Currently, she is in development on two food shows and her own lifestyle show, but she’d never say never to returning to her first television home."
Whoever ABC feels is worth sitting in McCain's seat, the network better hurry. Meghan is leaving the show at the end of the month.
