Britney Spears' Mom Lynne Steps In, Rushes To Court Demanding Pop Star Be Allowed To Hire Private Lawyer In Conservatorship
Britney Spears' mom is finally stepping in on her oldest daughter's behalf.
Lynne Spears rushed to court, begging the judge in Britney's conservatorship to allow the pop star to hire her own private attorney.
Lynne's request comes on the heels of Britney's court-appointed attorney Sam Ingham quitting just one day ago.
Britney's mom says a lot has changed since her ex-husband Jamie Spears' was granted conservatorship over their daughter 13 years ago.
In the legal documents, Lynne's lawyer says Britney is able to take care of herself.
The attorney points out, the pop icon "had to perform in front of millions of people, has had to manage hundreds of performances, has had to use her artistic and creative talents to prepare for shows by choreographing each and every move for and interacting with many co-performers, and has had to rehearse and perform for many thousands of hours over the years."
Lynne's lawyer demands his client's daughter gets the appropriate legal counsel of her choosing, who will help Britney achieve her goal to end her conservatorship.
The singer's mom is backing up Britney's claim that she was unaware she could end her conservatorship -- something that Ingham allegedly disputes.

Lynne is requesting the judge allow Britney to hire her own private attorney or at least one who is capable of representing her daughter's high-profile case.
It's an interesting move considering Britney stated her whole family "should be locked up" for allowing her conservatorship to go on as long as it has.
As RadarOnline.com reported, the singer spoke out to a judge two weeks ago and expressed her desire to end her dad's reign over her life.
The most shocking claim Britney made is that she doesn't have control over her body.
The singer told the judge she wants to get married and have more kids but claims Jamie Spears refuses to let her remove the IUD from her body.
It seems like everyone involved in the conservatorship is dropping like flies.
One day before Ingham filed his resignation, Britney's longtime manager announced he was ending his relationship with the pop star.
He also revealed Britney wants to officially retire, pointing out there's no use for him if she's not performing.
