Britney Spears' First Ex-Husband Jason Alexander Throws Shade At Singer's Engagement With Sam Asghari Following Airport Arrest
Britney Spears' first ex-husband Jason Alexander is a little shady about the singer's engagement to Sam Asghari.
Britney's childhood friend-turned-55-hour-husband broke his silence on her plans for upcoming nuptials, telling Inside Edition how he really feels about her relationship with Sam — just days after the fitness king popped the question.
Sitting down for his first interview all about Britney, Jason got candid about everything from her conservatorship battle with Jamie Spears, their 2004 marriage, and her engagement to her longtime boyfriend.
When asked if Jason thinks Sam is "out for fame or money or love," he responded by throwing darts towards Britney's fiancé.
“I’m trying to be as nice as I can,” Jason replied, adding that if Sam wasn't around, Britney would be going through the hardest time in her life solo.
“He’s really the only person that’s been around for a few years, so without him she would’ve been alone," he added.
Despite seemingly shading Sam's motives, Jason claimed, "If she’s happy with Sam and that’s going to happen, I’m happy for her.”
He also told Inside Edition that he still gabs with the singer, claiming he actually talked to her on the way to their interview. Ironically, when Jason tried to call her on camera, he told them, "She can’t talk."

Jason's interview went down successfully following his Nashville airport arrest last month.
As RadarOnline.com exclusively reported, he was taken into custody on August 29 after wandering into a non-secure area and attempting to come back through TSA while skipping the line.
The Davidson Country Criminal Court Clerk tells RadarOnline.com, Jason was "double-locked" in handcuffs and taken to a secure room for questioning.
Despite later calling it a "mistake," Britney's ex spent the night behind bars at the Davidson County Sheriff's Office. He was released the following day after posting a $2,500 bond.
The D.A. has officially hit him with an air security violation charge — a misdemeanor in Nashville, Tennessee.
Meanwhile, Britney is thriving. Not only is she one step closer to ending her 13-year conservatorship, but she's also ready to walk down the aisle with Sam following his proposal over the weekend.
The couple announced the exciting news via Instagram on Sunday, showing a close-up of Britney's ring.
