Ben Affleck And Jennifer Lopez Looking For Film Project Together Nearly 20 Years After 'Gigli' Flop

History is repeating itself! Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez have been looking at scripts to find the perfect project to collaborate on after the disaster of their last film together, Gigli.
“These two are back in their Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton phase and are looking to make their Cleopatra together,” sources tell RadarOnline.com. “They both have healthy egos and don’t want to be remembered for Gigli. Both Ben and Jen are better than that which is why they are looking to turn the page and find a project that will change that.”
For those of you that don't remember — Ben and J Lo released Gigli when they were engaged in 2003, and it was an embarrassing flop.
Our insiders add that J Lo is a huge fan of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt in Mr. and Mrs. Smith, and it's the sort of film she wants to make with Ben; however, we don't need to remind you how that ended for Brangelina.
Ben might have to pull out his dancing shoes after signing a deal to develop projects based on the Rodgers and Hammerstein musicals. We're told fans might get to see Ben singing and dancing alongside J Lo on the big screen.
They filmed side by side for the first time together nearly 20 years ago for Gigli, and it turned out a national joke.
With critics calling it "arguably the worst movie ever," it's not surprising Bennifer 2.0 wants to make a comeback both on and off the screen.
Last time, Ben and J Lo's relationship couldn't weather the storm. Months after their movie's release, the then-engaged duo called it quits.
Fast-forward to 17 years later: they are back together and ready to show everyone they are better than Gigli.
Movie scripts aren't the only thing Ben is shopping for.
As RadarOnline.com reported, the Academy Award winner was caught browsing engagement rings on Monday. He even brought his mom, Chris, along for the ride.
While it didn't appear Ben walked out with a pricey purchase, J Lo was spotted wearing a larger-than-life diamond just hours later.
