A fight over a gun between two teenagers and a man outside an IKEA in Arizona ended with the man dead and the juveniles charged with murder, RadarOnline.com has learned. Now, one of the teens has been sentenced to 18 years in prison for his role in the incident.

On March 21, 2022, Isaiah Williams and Saif Woods, both 17 at the time, met up with 21-year-old Chris McCrimmon to buy some marijuana, according to Front Page Detectives.

According to witnesses, the two boys got into a struggle with McCrimmon over a gun. The weapon went off, hitting McCrimmon in his side. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died.

Court records show that Williams told police that he and Woods planned on robbing McCrimmon because McCrimmon had robbed Williams months earlier.

According to police, Williams got into McCrimmon’s car outside the Tempe IKEA. McCrimmon then pulled out a gun once he recognized Williams, and a fight broke out.

A second gun belonging to Williams was pulled out, and police determined the bullet that hit McCrimmon was fired from Williams’ revolver.

Williams and Woods then fled in their car after the shooting, but were later apprehended, police said.

Officers found a backpack that Williams threw out of the car, which contained a bag of marijuana and two guns, one belonging to Williams’ and the other to McCrimmon.

Williams and Woods were both charged with first-degree murder and prosecutors believed Williams had planned the violence. However, his defense said he was in over his head and decided to fight back when he realized McCrimmon was armed, the Arizona Republic reported.

In June 2023, Williams took a plea deal to second-degree murder, officials said.

On July 10, Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Joseph Kreamer sentenced Williams to 18 years in prison.

Woods is still waiting for his trial, which has been set for September, officials said.
