A boyfriend and girlfriend have been arrested in connection to the fatal shooting of six-year-old Aiden Leos, and one of their social media accounts reveals a scary passion for guns.
24-year-old Marcus Anthony Eriz and his 23-year-old girlfriend, Wynne Lee, were taken into custody outside of their Costa Mesa, CA home on Sunday, more than two weeks after a road rage incident left one child dead.
Eriz -- who has now been revealed to be an unemployed auto shop worker -- has a love for guns and can be seen toting them around all over his Instagram.
In March 2020, he showed off a number of guns. In September 2019, Eriz was seen firing multiple weapons during a day on the gun range.
According to ABC7, Eriz has not worked Platinum Collision since January.
Jail records show that his girlfriend is also unemployed. The duo is set to be arraigned on Tuesday at 10 AM.
They are expected to be charged with murder, says the California Highway Patrol.
While Eriz's social media presence is hard to ignore, Lee's hardly exists.
The couple are being held on $1 million bail each.
Police believe Lee was the driver and Eriz was the shooter during the May 21 incident on the 55 freeway.
Aiden's mother Joanna Cloonan was taking her son to kindergarten when she allegedly got into an altercation with the couple.
Eriz reportedly fired a shot through the back of her car, striking the six-year-old who was in the back seat.
The suspects then drove off and a manhunt ensued.
According to documents, the road rage incident stemmed from a driver in a white Volkswagen Golf Sportswagen (now believed to be Eriz and Lee) cut off Aiden's mom in the carpool lane.
She stuck her middle finger up at the car, whose driver then proceeded to trial behind her and fired a shot through the back of car.
Aiden's mom pulled over and cradled her son until an off-duty cop stopped to help.
He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
