Aaron Rodgers & Shailene Woodley Call It Quits, Athlete Put Football Over Love
Talk about a fumble at the 10-yard line.
Aaron Rodgers and Shailene Woodley have ended their one-year engagement.
The actress, 30, and NFL star, 38, called it quits just a couple of days after Valentine's Day.
The Fault in Our Stars actress and the Green Bay Packer got engaged in February last year. The two hit it off back in 2020 but had kept their relationship under wraps for months before announcing their engagement on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
Now the two are calling it quits and rumors are the athlete was the one to get cold feet.
A source told In Touch that "While Shailene is supportive of Aaron’s career, he put football first and they were barely spending any time together." The insider clarified, "She felt he neglected their relationship. Neither of them was happy."
The quarterback was described as "an independent guy" and that he was the one who "got cold feet" when the wedding was becoming more into a reality.
The couple's relationship was rocky throughout this past football season and in the end, the two reportedly "couldn't make it work."
The insider claims that there were too many obstacles between the two — but "they're both adults and decided to part amicably.

Back when the two first got engaged Woodley seemed head over heels for the star quarterback despite the Pretty Little Liars actress having predispositions about Rodger's career.
"He's just a wonderful, incredible human being. But I never thought I'd be engaged with someone who threw balls for a living" she said during the announcement of their engagement on The Tonight Show.
Aaron also seemed gun-ho about the engagement when he thanked his "fiancée" during his acceptance speech at the NFL Honors in February 2021.
"2020 was definitely a crazy year filled with lots of change and growth, some amazing memorable moments. I got engaged to my beautiful fiancé and I played some of the best football in my career."
The Packers failing to get to the Super Bowl this year, losing to the 49ers playoff game in January, reportedly took its toll on the pro athlete. The Insurgent actress couldn't avoid the Divergence any longer.
Rogers has spoken out about the break up saying "it's a good thing" to spend some time away from Woodley.
