Six years after cooking her own goose for making racist comments and condoning porn in the workplace, Paula Deen is being slammed for putting more than 75 employees at her Texas restaurant out of work!
“Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen in San Antonio closed its doors last month without notice,” a source spilled exclusively to RadarOnline.com.
“When the staff showed up for work, they were told they no longer had jobs! Even worse, Paula hasn’t made good on the salaries they were owed!”
One former employee said she was devastated over having the rug pulled out from under her!
“It left me in debt. I’m behind in my bills!” wailed line cook Annette Badillo, a 50-year-old grandmother.
“They haven’t paid their vendors for months, so we probably should have seen this coming!”
The restaurant recently celebrated its one-year anniversary, but the spot has struggled since opening its doors, according to insiders.
Despite leaving her loyal employees high and dry, Paula coughed up the dough to finance the opening of a new Paula’s Family Kitchen in Branson, Mo., on Sept. 2!
But as soon as the former Food Network cook arrived in town for the eatery’s grand opening, Paula pulled another vanishing act — to look after her own personal business!
With Hurricane Dorian threatening Georgia, Paula, who did not respond to a request for comment, rushed to Savannah to ensure her things were safe and sound!
“Thank goodness the company got me a private plane and got me home so I could pack up my animals and evacuate,” the self-centered star told her Facebook friends. “It’s a crazy world out there y’all.”
