Sad World! Amy Roloff Exposes Family Medical Crisis Amid Emergency Trip

Amy Roloff revealed on Instagram this weekend that her mother has suffered a medical crisis that required hospitalization.

First, she posted a loving throwback photo of her mom and dad, Patricia and Gordon Knight, and wrote as a caption that she had to take an emergency trip to her Michigan hometown. "Going 'home' to see my parents," Amy, 54, wrote. "My mom isn't doing so well and I need to see them."

The Little People, Big World star continued, with a heart emoji at the end, "Every moment is precious the older I get and the older they get." "Like the old days I'm going to make dinner for them. This Michigan girl is coming home." On Sunday morning, June 9, Amy showed off a current Instagram photo of her and her father sharing a meal.

She captioned the sweet shot, "Wish it was for other reasons than my Mom being in the hospital-I love coming 'home' to Michigan. After visiting w/my Mom in the hospital I made dinner for my Dad! He enjoyed it and I loved making it for him."

Amy then updated fans onPatricia's condition, noting, "My Mom is doing ok. The coming home and the care she may need is the tough part. Just glad I could be here!" Followers weighed in, giving Amy their hopes and prayersthat her mother gets better soon.

Matriarch Amy is all about family and she celebrated her mother's 86th birthday with surprise visit to Michigan earlier this year. The reality TV star wrote on Instagram in January, "Shh… I’m in my home state – Michigan – to visit w/ my parents and sister and surprise my mom for her 86th birthday! Woohoo!"
