After years of neglect and torment, the Turpin children have "improved" and are "developing greatly," monster mom Louise Turpin's sister Elizabeth Flores told RadarOnline.com exclusively.
While she reveals "all the children are still separated," Elizabeth said "all the younger ones" are in foster homes and the older kids are in an assistant living facility.
As much as she loves all 13 of them, Elizabeth said, she simply just "doesn't have the resources to adopt them."
RadarOnline.com readers know, David and Louise Turpin pleaded guilty on Friday, Feb. 22 to multiple counts of abuse and torture.
They each responded “guilty” as a judge listed off their charges including adult abuse, child endangerment, false imprisonment and torture.
The twisted parents face maximum sentences of life in prison with the possibility of parole and lifetime probation.
As RadarOnline.com reported, 12 of the couple’s 13 kids were found severely malnourished after one of the teenage daughters escaped the Perris, Calif. home and called police.
The troubled parents shackled their children to beds using chains and padlocks and rarely allowed them to bathe.
The Turpins are scheduled to be sentenced on April 19.
