In a new shocker, Danielle Staub has delayed her wedding to Oliver Maier which was planned for this Monday, March 4, 2019, as Us Weekly has reported. A source said her daughters are holding things up!
As RadarOnline.com readers know, The Real Housewives of New Jersey star, 56, had decided to marry her new boyfriend less than two weeks after her divorce from Marty Caffrey was final.
Staub and hunky Maier were supposed to tie the knot by a justice of the peace on Monday in New York City.
But now, a source told Us, Staub won't say her "I do's" to Maier just yet because "Danielle’s daughters haven’t met him yet," the source tells Us of Jillian and Christine, from her second husband Thomas Staub.
"She realized she wants to bring her kids into the process more. The wedding has been postponed. Her daughters were surprised because everything happened so fast," the insider said.
Staub admitted to an interviewer this weekend that her daughters were "pushing back" about the wedding. The housewife’s rep told Us on Thursday, February 28, that Staub was planning to tie the knot on Monday with the businessman, who another source said she had been seeing for "about six weeks."
Staub told Us in an exclusive interview, "I am really looking forward to making a new life for myself with Oliver and putting my life on a positive and productive path. This is a new beginning for me and I am excited to see all that it brings."
The RHONJ star is sporting a blinding engagement ring and was seen shopping for wedding rings with Maier at Van Cleef & Arpels on Fifth Avenue in New York on Saturday, March 2.
According to sources, Maier comes from a royal family and is a duke of Provence, France — which likely will make Staub a Duchess!
The relationship got serious very quickly. Rumors of a new romance started brewing after the Bravo star shared a photo of herself kissing Maier on the beach in St. Bart’s on Monday, February 25. As RadarOnline.com reported, a judge had declared tumultuous couple Staub and Caffrey officially divorced
in the state of New Jersey during a brief hearing on Thursday, February 21. They had split in July 2018 after their made-for-TV Bahamas wedding that May.
In a nasty divorce battle, Caffrey accused his estranged wife of "financial, verbal and emotional" abuse, and being nasty to his children from a previous relationship.
Now Staub is free to wed again and wants to—but she has to make sure her daughters are on board!
