Abby Lee Miller returned to Dance Moms despite her battle with cancer. Now, RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal doctors are concerned for the dance teacher – as she’s working 12-hour days.
“She is stretching herself too thin,” a source close to Miller told RadarOnline.com. “She is working from 8am to 8pm.”
But Miller, 52, isn’t slowing down despite what her doctors think.
“Her doctors are telling her to stop,” the insider claimed. “But she needs the show and the money for a comeback.”
As RadarOnline.com readers know, Miller underwent emergency surgery in April 2018 for what doctors believed was an infection in her spine. She was later diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
The diagnosis came after she served time in prison. She was sentenced to one year and one day for not reporting an international monetary transaction and concealing bankruptcy assets.
RadarOnline.com previously reported that doctors advised against her return to the show.
“Abby is acting very tough, but doctors are not confident it’s the right time to leave her treatment in Los Angeles to head to Pittsburgh for a TV show,” a source previously told RadarOnline.com. “She is going against doctors wishes and going back to work.”
The insider claimed Miller is “weak.”
“Her body is not ready to be back in it,” the source said. “They are scared it’s too much work and traveling. She needs more physical therapy. It’s still a long road for Abby.”
The upcoming season will take place in Los Angeles and Pittsburgh, where the show began seven seasons ago.
“She has a doctor in Los Angeles and Pittsburgh," the source said. “The Pittsburgh doctor will report back to the team in Los Angeles.”
In the trailer for the season, Miller cried, “I was ready to go back to work and start my life over, and now I can’t even walk!”
The season, which premieres in June, will include Miller’s recovery from chemo.
“I need to go back to teaching and I need to get back to screaming at children,” she said. “You have to fight to be a champion.”
