‘Sister Wives’ Engagement! Mariah Brown Proposes To Girlfriend Audrey After 2 Years

Sister Wives star Mariah Brown is ready to be a bride!
This January 16, the only daughter of Kody and Meri Brown popped the question to girlfriend of two years Audrey Kriss.
RadarOnline.com was the first to break the news of the couple’s romance in March 2017, months after Mariah, 23, came out as a lesbian despite her parents’ belief that she would follow in their polygamous footsteps. At the time, mom Meri broke down in tears, saying she and the family were blindsided by the news.
Over a year later, RadarOnline.com reported Mariah was moving in with Audrey in Chicago, far away from her family’s showbiz lifestyle.
Now, the two are engaged, and couldn’t be more excited to spend their lives together.
At the Women’s March in Washington, D.C. this January, Mariah got down on one knew to profess her love for Audrey.
“We had just started dating when we came for the first time two years ago and it was such a special time for us that I wanted to propose there,” Mariah told PEOPLE.
RadarOnline.com readers know the two fell in love over two years ago after meeting at Westminster College. While Mariah was not out at the time, she’s publicly stated that spending time with Audrey is what made her take the leap.
On March 8, 2017, shortly after going public with Audrey, Mariah tweeted: “Shoutout to Audrey Kriss for literally changing my life and showing me that who I am is perfectly okay.”
And while it may have taken some time for Mariah to show her true self, she told the magazine that quickly into their relationship, she knew Audrey was the one.
“I can’t exactly pinpoint, but it was pretty early on. There are a lot of things about Audge that I am so in love with and I knew that I wanted to love those things for the rest of my life. She made me a better person and continues to make me a better person,” she said.
Mariah also gave details about the way she proposed.
“We were in the middle of where everyone was marching and I was trying to get the ring out of my pocket, where it was stuck. I think Audrey was fixing her hair, but I just got down on one knee and said some sweet things that neither of us can really remember because we were so caught up in the moment,” she said.
Of course, Audrey could not have been more excited.
“She was really sweet and started crying and I was crying and then I put the ring on her, got up and gave her a kiss and someone around us goes ‘Did she say yes?”’And she totally hadn’t yet! Then she said ‘I do! I do!’ and then realized that was the wrong thing to say and then said ‘Yes!’ She’s such a sweetheart. The ring is absolutely perfect, if I do say so myself,” she recalled.
And while Brown was the one who gave Audrey a ring, she recently shared a photo in which she seems to be wearing a matching diamond band!

Mariah said she and her lady are in no rush to tie the knot but are happy that even her formerly-skeptical loved ones are on board.
“Our friends and family have all been so excited for us! I actually think my dad almost cried! He really likes Audrey. All of our friends have been so sweet and offering to help and our families are obviously excited to share their input,” said Mariah.
This January 22 after proposing, the beauty also shared a sweet photo of her fiancée giving her a kiss on the cheek.
“Happy two year anniversary to the love of my life. I’ll never know how I got so lucky to live life with you but I’ll continue to love you more everyday. Thank you for making everyday the best day, baby love,” she wrote.
