Reality curse strikes again!

Financially troubled Real Housewives of New Jersey star Margaret Josephs was slapped with a $200,000 lawsuit, RadarOnline.com exclusively learned.

Friends Lori Ann and John Wayne Sigley claimed they loaned Josephs and her husband Joseph Benigno $200,000 in cash with the agreement that it would be paid back in a year. But it's been 16 months later they claim they still haven't received the money.

“On or around September 23, 2016, Defendants each executed a Promissory Note in favor of Plaintiffs as consideration for and to secure a loan from Plaintiffs to Defendants in the principal amount of $200,000, plus interest at a rate of 6% per annum. Under the Promissory Note, payment of any outstanding amounts including interest was due on September 23, 2017,” the court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com stated.

The two friends noted that they had asked the RHONJ star and her husband for the money to no avail.

“Written demand for payment has been made since September 23, 2017, including but not limited to a Notice of Default and Demand for Payment by letter dated November 30, 2018; however, to date no payments have been made, and Defendants remain in default of the loan," the lawsuit read.

According to the documents obtained by RadarOnline.com, Josephs’ New Jersey mansion that was featured prominently on RHONJ might be in jeopardy.

“Pursuant to the Promissory Note, the Loan is a 'mortgage loan' and is secured by collateral consisting of real property,” the lawsuit noted.

The Sigleys asked for a judge to impose “an equitable lien in Plaintiffs’ favor on, and granting the Plaintiffs a security interest in, the real property,” for Josephs’ house.

But the lawsuit isn’t Joseph’s only financial problem. As RadarOnline.com reported, Josephs owed the IRS $200,000 in back taxes.

According to the clerk of court for Bergen County, she still owes the federal taxes.
