Maybe he was listening to his own music?

Crooner Michael Bolton fell asleep during a live TV interview in Australia on Tuesday February 5. As The Morning Show hosts Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies introduced the “When a Man Loves a Woman” singer, he noticeably closed his eyes and tilted down.

“Maybe he’s just updating Instagram,” Emdur kiddingly said.

After a few more awkward moments of silence, Bolton opened his eyes, exclaimed, “It’s gone silent,” (possibly in reference to his ear piece) and closed his lids tightly again.

After another strange pause, Gillies told viewers they would check with the “technical side of things” with Bolton.

“What time is it in Florida,” she asked.

“Cocktail time,” Emdur joked.

A few minutes later, Bolton was able to connect with the morning program, though he continued to sound slow and slurred.
