'We Don't Want Anything!' Casey Kasem's Daughter Recalls Family Feud Over His Fortune
For more than two months, Casey Kasem's wife, Jean Thompson, banned friends and family, including his own children, from visiting the ill 81-year-old in his home. After hosting popular radio shows for nearly 40 years, Casey had a net worth of $80 million, and his wife was well-aware.
The large sum of his fortune created a bizarre and very nasty family feud towards the end of the radio personality's life. While Casey's family and friends begged to see him, his wife, Thompson, refused to let them in.
"In order to pressure Jean to allow them to see Casey, friend and family staged a protest in front of their home. They brought picket signs and the media and pleaded with Jean for a chance to see Casey," says attorney Danielle Mayoras in REELZ's new docuseries, Casey Kasem: Fortune Fight.
In a newly-resurfaced video, Casey's daughter, Kerri Kasem, is seen holding picket signs along with her relatives, and protesting outside of the home he shared with Thompson.

"We just wanna see him, that's it. We don't want anything except to see my dad," says Kerri in the clip.
Family members, friends, even Casey's longtime personal assistant joined the protest.
"We gotta let people know that we can't get in to see dad. She's not letting any family members see him, or his friends," recalls Kerri. "Let's get them all to protest. Let's get them all to hold signs saying, 'We miss you, we love you, why can't we see you?'"
Casey Kasem: Fortune Fight airs Thursday, February 7 at 9 ET / PT on REELZ.
