An Iowa teenager was found dead five days after running away from home following an argument with his parents.
As RadarOnline.com has learned, Corey Brown left his home Tuesday, January 22, during a snow storm, because he was angry at his parents for taking away his phone as punishment for bad behavior. They reported him missing that same day, and authorities began a search expedition.
The 13-year-old boy's body was discovered this Sunday, January 27, at around 10:45 a.m. west of Marshalltown.
Corey's parents, Michelle and Craig Brown became increasingly worried when temperatures began to fall, and Corey had not returned home.
"Corey, you know how much we love you. And I'm not going to stop until we find you. If you're out there, please come home," the teen's heartbroken mother told KCCI during a press conference. "We love you more than you'll ever know. Please, please just come home."
After learning of his death, Corey's Miller Middle School and the Marshalltown High School shared a statement saying they were "saddened" by the news.
R.I.P. Corey Brown.
