A male nurse has been arrested in the sexual assault of a female patient who unexpectedly gave birth at an Arizona nursing home, RadarOnline.com can report.
Nathan Sutherland, 36, was arrested on Tuesday, Jan. 22 after a DNA test and other evidence established that he raped and impregnated his patient at Hacienda Skilled Nursing Facility in Phoenix. The female victim was living in a vegetative state at the facility for over a decade.
As RadarOnline.com readers know, the victim, 29, shockingly gave birth in December 2018, prompting authorities to investigate sexual assault.
Sutherland reportedly was responsible for taking care of the victim.
The victim's parents announced in a statement last month that they were "outraged, traumatized and in shock by the abuse and neglect of their daughter at Hacienda HealthCare."
