Kody Brown’s wife Robyn dodged a bullet when she divorced her ex-husband David Jessop. RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal the Sister Wives star’s ex was arrested for assault earlier this year.

In court papers obtained from Hamilton City Court in Montana, Jessop, 39, was arrested on January 12, 2018 for partner or family member assault, causing bodily injury.

He pled not guilty and the charge was amended to disorderly conduct on August 31, 2018. He was ordered to pay fines.

On a past episode of Sister Wives, Robyn, who is the newest wife to join the family, dealt with her three children from her previous marriage with Jessop getting bullied by Kody’s children with wives Meri, Janelle and Christine.

“Just to clarify, I do not tolerate my kids getting bullied,” she tweeted at the time of the episode. “I ended my first marriage because of abuse. My kids come first ALWAYS.”

Robyn was married to Jessop from 1999 to 2007.

But Robyn’s marriage to Kody hasn’t been perfect, as she’s had marital issues with her second husband over the years. RadarOnline.com previously reported that she planned on leaving him back in 2015.

“There were a lot of communication issues and a lot of fighting,” the source said at the time. “Kody is really bad at handling stressful situations and wants to be safe all the time, and when Robyn could no longer be his source of comfort. He couldn’t handle it.”
