So Rude! Kanye West Falls Asleep For 20 Minutes At Cher Broadway Show Amid Phone Backlash
Dec. 4 2018, Updated 12:39 p.m. ET
Kanye West is even ruder than fans thought!
On Monday night, the rapper was slammed for using his phone during the opening night performance of Broadway’s The Cher Show in New York City. And while he apologized for his inconsiderate behavior and claimed to be extremely moved by the performance, an eyewitness told RadarOnline.com that he looked less than thrilled at the event — and couldn't even stay awake!
According to an eyewitness, West, 41, “fell asleep for a good 20 minutes with his head to the side during the show.”
As readers know, RadarOnline.com’s onlooker is not the only person who noticed the star’s impolite conduct during the Broadway show. Actor Jarrod Spector — who plays Sunny in the musical — called out the rapper for not paying attention to the performance.
“Hey @kanyewest so cool that you’re here at @TheCherShow! If you look up from your cell phone you’ll see we’re doing a show up here. It’s opening night. Kind of a big deal for us. Thanks so much,” he tweeted.

Moments later, the controversial star — who attended the opening with wife Kim Kardashian — replied: “The dynamics of Cher and Sonny’s relationship made Kim and I grab each other’s hand and sing ‘I got you babe’ please pardon my lack of etiquette. We have so much appreciation for the energy you guys put into making this master piece.”
