Jill Duggar has defied her big family once again!
RadarOnline.com has learned that Derick Dillard’s rebellious wife went behind her parents’ back and broke one of the family’s lasting holiday traditions. In a daring move, Jill posted a photo on her Instagram of her family's Christmas tree – a holiday staple that was off-limits in Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar’s household.
“Merry Christmas from the Dillards! #happybirthdayjesus #israeldaviddillard #samuelscottdillard” Jill captioned a photo of her and Derick’s sons sitting in front of their lit Christmas tree.
As RadarOnline.com readers know, Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar raised their 19 kids within their sprawling Springdale, Arkansas home with strict boundaries. One of the Duggars’ rules was that the family did not put up a Christmas tree. The family put up a huge banner that wished Jesus a happy birthday instead.
In a 2014 interview, Michelle explained the “Happy Birthday Jesus” banner focuses more on the “real meaning of Christmas” as opposed to a decorated tree.
Fans were in full support of Jill's tree on social media.
“Personally I am glad they have a tree up. Children love lights and enjoy crafting something special to hang on the tree. Handsome boys!” one Instagram user wrote.
Another complimented Jill – and slammed her former family traditions in the process!
“Nice to see you enjoying NORMAL life,” the fan wrote.

Most recently Derick came under fire slammed the TLC network for staging scenes. Jill, however, has always chosen to remain on her husband's side.
