Stormy Daniels' Attorney Michael Avenatti Is Arrested For Alleged Domestic Violence

Michael Avenatti, the attorney for porn star Stormy Daniels, was arrested for felony domestic violence on Wednesday.

In a shocker, the high-profile lawyer who has represented Daniels in her legal dispute against the President was being booked on Wednesday evening.

Los Angeles Police Department officer Jeff Lee said the domestic violence report was taken on Tuesday, November 13, in West Los Angeles and the arrest was made the following day.

"We can confirm that today LAPD Detectives arrested Michael Avenatti on suspicion of domestic violence. This is an ongoing investigation and we will provide more details as they become available," the LAPD Twitter account stated.

But Avenatti, 47, said in a statement via his law office: “I have never been physically abusive in my life nor was I last night. Any accusations to the contrary are fabricated and meant to do harm to my reputation. I look forward to being fully exonerated.”

A website has claimed that the incident didn't involve Avenatti's estranged wife, Lisa, but a different woman. Lisa filed for divorce in December 2017. They have one son. Avenatti also has two teenage daughters from a previous marriage.

According to the report, law enforcement sources told the website that the attorney was arrested after the woman filed a felony domestic violence report, and allegedly her face was "swollen and bruised" with "red marks" on both cheeks.

The website reported that the woman, while wearing sunglasses, screamed on the phone, apparently to Avenatti, "I can't believe you did this to me. I'm going to get a restraining order against you."

According to the report, a law enforcement source said Avenatti "kicked her out of the apartment" and that's when the alleged domestic violence occurred.

Avenatti allegedly told security guards in the apartment building, "She hit me first.

"This is bulls***, this is f***ing bulls***."

Cops reportedly took Avenatti into custody on Wednesday at the luxury apartment building.

As readers know, Daniels was arrested in a strip club in Ohio this summer, but three misdemeanor charges of illegal sexual activity that were brought against her were dropped. The Columbus police later said that they had made a mistake in making the arrest.

Avenatti told the press late Wednesday, that he wanted to "thank the men and women of the LAPD for their professionalism in their work. Today they had no option in light of the allegations. Secondly, I have never struck a woman. I never will strike a woman. I have been an advocate for women’s rights my entire career and I’m going to continue being an advocate. I’m not going to be intimidated from stopping what I am doing. I am a father to two beautiful, smart daughters. I would never disrespect them by touching a woman inappropriately or striking a woman. I am looking forward to a full investigation at which point I am confident that I will be fully exonerated. I also want to thank everyone for their support who reached out – you know my character. You know me as a man and I appreciate it.”
