Kenya Moore Gives Birth To Baby Girl At Age 47
Kenya Moore has finally become a mom!
The fired The Real Housewives of Atlanta star, 47, gave birth to a baby girl on this Sunday morning, November 4. The little one weighed in at 5 pounds and 12 ounces, as PEOPLE reported.
Moore and her husband, businessman Marc Daly, named the girl Brooklyn Doris Daly.
Moore explained to PEOPLE, "Brooklyn because that’s where we met and fell in love, and Doris after my grandmother who passed away last year and who raised me."
The reality star who recently lost her job on RHOA said, "Brooklyn is very alert and active."
Moore, who conceived through IVF, had an emergency C-section, according to PEOPLE.
As RadarOnline.com reported, Moore went to the hospital to have her baby this weekend after recently suffering a terrifying preeclampsia complication.
Last Saturday, the reality star who is married to Daly, posted a photo of her swollen feet on Instagram and detailed her pre-birth preeclampsia horror.
Moore wrote in a caption, "made fun of my swollen feet at @cynthiabailey10 party. Next day my tests came back for possible preeclampsia... I gained 17 lbs in ONE week due to severe swelling and water retention, high blood pressure, and excess protein in urine. This is NOT normal! I took more tests. Baby is fine but if they come back higher #babydaly will have to come same day."
The reality TV star added via Instagram that she was, "Staying positive. To my pregnant sisters please go to your visits and tell the doctor of any drastic changes. Thank God I have great doctors.?? #babydaly #highrisk #love #family #miraclebaby #kenyamoore #babybump #pregnantover40."
According to medical experts, preeclampsia is a complication characterized by high blood pressure and signs of damage to another organ system, most often the liver and kidneys.
Moore and her man Daly signaled earlier that they would be choosing an unusual, unisex baby name. Soccer star David Beckham's son is named Brooklyn and model Brooklyn Decker is well known.
