Money Talks! Kelly Clarkson Considering Move To NYC For 'Today' Gig

Kelly Clarkson has become a valuable asset for NBC since becoming a coach on the network's top-rated singing competition show, The Voice. Now, two weeks after RadarOnline.com reported the singer is in talks to replace ousted Today host Megyn Kelly, a source tells RadarOnline.com exclusively that she is strongly considering moving to New York City for the morning show — if the price is right.

"Kelly is not keen on moving across country with her family, but with the kind of money they are offering her, it would be impossible to say no," the insider told RadarOnline.com of Clarkson, who lives in Los Angeles with husband Brandon Blackstock and their two children.

The network is still "100% on board" with Clarkson's takeover, the source insisted.

"The ratings on Today have not proven to be as good as they were hoping after canning Megyn," the source explained. "With Kelly's immense fan base, everyone really believes that she could turn this all around."

"The network is behind Kelly with whatever she wants to do and, as of right now, she is absolutely returning to The Voice next season and she will be doing her own talk show, which is also already in the works."

"Whether or not that talk show is going to fold into Today, is still being determined."

As RadarOnline.com reported, Kelly was canned after she defended the practice of blackface on air on October 23. She is still in the process of negotiating her exit with NBC. A source told RadarOnline.com she is demanding a massive payout.

In the meantime, Al Roker and other Today hosts are filling in for axed Kelly's 9 am time slot.
