Shady Business! Josh Duggar Caught Running Unlawful Car Lot In Arkansas
Josh Duggar was caught running a shady business in his home state of Arkansas, RadarOnline.com can exclusively report.
The disgraced Duggar, 30, has been managing a used car lot called Wholesale Motorcars in Washington County, Arkansas ever since leaving his lobbying job in 2015. Now, RadarOnline.com has learned that Josh allegedly was found in violation of an ordinance requiring his business to have a permit.
"We have one zoning designation in the county to allow single-family residential or agricultural uses," a planning official in Washington County told RadarOnline.com. "Anything else requires a conditional use permit to request a zoning change."
The Washington County official confirmed to RadarOnline.com that the county's fire marshal allegedly alerted authorities of Josh's unlawful activity of failing to have a permit. The former 19 Kids and Counting star "basically" opened up shop without notifying anyone, the planning official explained.
What's more is Josh was allegedly notified of the issue three times before he made efforts to fix the problem. The planning official claimed the fire marshal sent three 90-day notices alerting Josh that it was time to "come into compliance."
"The fire marshal wasn't going to issue any more extensions," the planning authority told RadarOnline.com. "He was requiring that Josh make a good faith attempt, or make effort, toward receiving a review and permit approval, so that's what he did."
On Nov. 1, representatives for Michelle and Jim Bob's troubled son attended a planning commission meeting to resolve the issue, the planning official explained.
The planning board's paperwork stated that Josh was not only required to request a conditional use permit, but he also had to make significant changes to the business's facilities.
The fire marshal's alleged concerns of Josh's shady business included his failure to show the address of the business on its building and entrance, failure to have a smoke detector in its office, a missing fire lane, a minimum 20-foot driveway, and more.
