Jenni "JWoww" Farley just shared some heartbreaking news about her family. In a recent interview with Hollywood Life, the reality star revealed her two-year-old son Greyson Mathews has been diagnosed with autism.
As RadarOnline.com readers know, Farley, 32, spoke about her child's speech impediment on an August episode of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. At the time, she said there were many words the toddler could not understand, despite the fact that other kids his age were already speaking quite fluently.
Now that's he's been formally diagnosed, however, Farley said he is getting extra counseling, and it's already started to show its results!
"He's made leaps and bounds when it comes to speech," Farley told the outlet. "He's understanding words better, which was his issue. Not that he couldn't speak, but he would never know what his shoe is or if you said, 'Greyson,' he actually didn't even know his name at one point until he was a little over two. So now that he's understanding simple words, he's come so far."
Farley's shocking news come as she continues to deal with her nasty divorce from husband Roger Mathews. The two were married for three years, and also share four-year-old daughter Meilani.
Despite claims the couple are "working on things," RadarOnline.com has learned the divorce case remains ongoing.
As readers know, autism is a developmental disorder that impairs the ability to communicate and interact. Over the past few years, it has become increasingly common in American children.
