Female Saviors! Amber Heard Claims Strong Women Saved Her From Abuse

Amber Heard claims that 'strong women' saved her from a toxic relationship.

The actress was involved in a troubled union with actor Johnny Depp and she thanked her friends in her latest interview with Shape Magazine.

Without naming Depp directly – she said: "Strong women were there when I thought I couldn't endure more abuse."

The 32-year-old American actress was married to Depp from 2015 to 2017 in what turned out to be a very volatile relationship.

She accused Depp, 55, of drinking heavily and being physically abusive towards her – he denied her accusations.

Heard filed for a divorce from the famous actor on May 23, 2016.

Just five days later she obtained a temporary restraining order against him.

She stated in court papers that he had been "verbally and physically abusive" throughout their relationship.

Depp's lawyers said her claims were false and that she was trying to get a larger divorce settlement from him.

In her latest interview Heard claims that she now has more balance in her life.

She added: "If you're not going to enjoy life, there's no point in eating a certain way and working out and doing all the things actors do to manipulate how we look- and how the world looks at us."

Heard revealed that when she is not preparing for her films she is less strict with her diets.

But after filming in different locations around the world she loves to return to her home state.

She revealed: "I'm originally from Texas, but now I'm more or less a gypsy. I'm not in one place any longer than the next these days, but in my heart, I am always firmly connected to where I come from."
