Nicole Kidman Reveals She Married Tom Cruise For ‘Protection’ From Sexual Harassment

In a shocking confession, Nicole Kidman has opened up about one of the real reasons she got married to Tom Cruise.
“Being married to Tom Cruise at 22 is something I'm always reluctant to talk about, because I'm married now to the man who is my great love," Keith Urban, “and it almost feels disrespectful,” she told New York Magazine.
“That said, I got married very young, but it wasn't power for me — it was protection,” she continued. “I married for love but being married to an extremely powerful man kept me from being sexually harassed.”
As RadarOnline.com reported, Hollywood has been rocked by scandals over the past year after multiple women came forward to accuse powerful famous men, including Harvey Weinstein and Bill Cosby, of taking advantage of them in the past.
“I would work but I was still very much cocooned,” said Kidman, 51, admitting the end of her marriage proved to be a challenge since she no longer could count on her relationship with Cruise, 56, to keep her safe from show business predators.
“So when I came out of it at 32, 33, it's almost like I had to grow up,” she noted.
