Jada Pinkett Smith & Leah Remini End Scientology Feud: We Are 'Broken Little Girls'

Jada Pinkett Smith, 47, and Leah Remini, 48, have finally ended their feud. One year after bashing each other, the two stars came together to tell stories of their childhood and embrace their differences.

On Pinkett Smith's Facebook Watch series, Red Table Talk, the women discussed what ignited their nasty Scientology feud and how they eventually ended it.

"What was really emotional about it was realizing that there was two broken little girls in us that were abandoned by their fathers and turned into fighters who clashed," Pinkett Smith told PEOPLE.

As RadarOnline.com readers recall, last year Remini told The Daily Beast that Pinkett Smith was a Scientologist and was always hanging around the church. Seeing her claim, Pinkett Smith fired back. "I have studied Dianetics, and appreciate the merits of Study Tech," the actress tweeted at the time. "But I am not a Scientologist. I practice human kindness, and I believe that we each have the right to determine what we are and what we are not."

Realizing that what they both strive for is kindness, the two women put their issues aside and took the time to get to know each other.

"You have to treat people with kindness because you don't know what they're going through," said Pinkett Smith. "When she told me her story, I had so much more compassion and it reiterated the necessity to just be gentle and kind because we're all fu***ng devastated."

She also admitted that it was Remini who chose to end their fight.

"It was really beautiful and she reached out to me," said Pinkett Smith. "She was much more bigger than me in that way. It was nice to reconnect and release ourselves from all that nonsense that doesn't matter."

Red Table Talk premieres October 22 on Facebook Watch.
