Busy Philipps Claims James Franco Assaulted Her In New Tell-All: 'He Threw Me To The Ground'
In her shocking new memoir, Busy Philipps claims multiple men in Hollywood mistreated her throughout her 20-year career — and she isn't afraid to name names.
In This Will Only Hurt a Little, out October 16, the actress alleges her Freaks and Geeks costar James Franco was a "f***ing bully" on set — and once even shoved her to the ground in a rage, RadarOnline.com can exclusively report.
While filming a scene of the 1999 short-lived sitcom, Philipps, now 39, claims she was directed to gently hit Franco in the chest while delivering her line.
Franco, she alleges, broke character and suddenly attacked her.
"He grabbed both my arms and screamed in my face, 'DON'T EVER TOUCH ME AGAIN!'" she writes in the book. "And he threw me to the ground. Flat on my back. Wind knocked out of me."
Philipps claims he stormed off, and the horrified crew rushed to help her up.
She says she sobbed to costar Linda Cardellini, who told her to call her manager.
The next day, she says Franco, now 40, apologized to her after the director and producers ordered him to do so — but he was never punished for his deplorable behavior.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Franco has been accused of sexual misconduct by at least five women. (He has called the allegations "not accurate.")
Also in Philipps' book, the mom of two claims she faced horrible treatment at the hands of men very early in life.
At just 14 years old, she alleges she was sexually assaulted by an older boy from her Arizona high school in the backseat of his car.
She says she was left bloodied and bruised by the 17-year-old, but didn't tell her family what had happened.
After the traumatic experience, the boy allegedly spread rumors about her around school.
Devastated, she began cutting herself, she claims, and was sent to group therapy for troubled teens.
Still reeling from the attack, Philipps claims she rushed into the arms of a new boyfriend — and soon found herself pregnant at just 15 years old.
She decided to get an abortion, but her boyfriend's conservative parents told her she would go to hell if she ended the pregnancy.
Amid her crisis, Philipps' parents read her diary and learned about the pregnancy. Her mother was supportive, she insists, she took her to get the abortion.
Even today, Philipps claims she's still coping with the trauma of her rape and difficult teen years.
