'Below Deck's Caroline Bedol's Family Tragedy: Sick Mom Once Missing, Suicidal
Below Deck season six star Caroline Bedol has cried onscreen about her mother's declining health. Now, RadarOnline.com can exclusively report that the stewardess's mom was once missing and suicidal.
According to police reports obtained by RadarOnline.com, Caroline's mom, Patricia, went missing in September 2013 after abandoning a rental car and leaving suicidal notes in it meant for her children.
One letter indicated that Caroline's mother "may intend to harm herself." Another note specifically addressed to Caroline's brother included a burial request.
"Please forgive me – I never wanted to hurt you. Remember me for my ability to care and love you all," Patricia wrote. "I'm tired of running. Please cremate me I do not want a funeral."
At the start of the current season, the Bravo newcomer broke down in tears while explaining her mother was suffering from "really onset" dementia.
Patricia was entered into a Massachusetts police department as an endangered missing person. One day later, she was located alive at a hotel.
Later, in May 2017, Caroline was reportedly fighting with her mother at home, according to a report.
According to the documents, Caroline had not been engaging with her mother "at all," and was advised that if she had not moved out in three days she would have to begin the eviction process.
Then, in November 2017, concerns grew for Caroline's mother. An anonymous friend of Patricia's said she had not heard from her in "several weeks" and was "concerned because of issues" Patricia was having with her daughter.

Weeks later, in December 2017, Caroline reported to police that her mother had not returned home from work. In the weeks leading up to the call, the Bravo star told police her mother "has been exhibiting paranoia behavior" and stopped using her cell phone.
Patricia was ultimately found in 2017 and told police she had been working out of town for a few days.
On Tuesday night's episode of Below Deck, Caroline admitted she's had a tough year due to her mom's illness.
"I've been focusing on my mom and I haven't been able to make friends or romantic relationships," she said.
Additionally, she admitted on camera that "s**t with my mom is just so frustrating and scary."
Meanwhile, at sea, Caroline's life is just as hectic. This season features a crew member flying overboard in a near-deadly accident.
